Dr.ÌýBradley J. BarrickÌýjoined Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ on July 1, 2024, as the institution’s seventh president.

Ìý

With a spirit of humility, Dr. Barrick is a servant leader whoÌýdeeply values the college’s teamÌýthat isÌýcommitted to serving students andÌýmembers of theÌýcommunity, as well as partners in various businesses and industries.

Ìý

Dr.ÌýBarrickÌýbringsÌýtransformationalÌýleadershipÌýexperienceÌýin higher educationÌýas an accomplished administrator and dedicated faculty member. Among hisÌýnumerous capabilities, Dr.ÌýBarrickÌýis relationally-driven, values emotional intelligence, and brings an inordinate amount of energy, passionÌýand joy to hisÌýwork. HisÌýknowledgeÌýin higher education builds mutual trust across the educational and political landscape, and hisÌýspirited leadership is highly inspirational and motivational both on Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ and in the community.

Dr.ÌýBarrickÌýis aÌýproudÌýproduct of theÌýcommunityÌýcollege system.ÌýHeÌýbegan hisÌýeducationÌýatÌýRose StateÌýCollege beforeÌýearning a B.A. in Business AdministrationÌýfromÌýthe University of Oklahoma. Dr. Barrick alsoÌýearnedÌýmaster’s degrees inÌýBusinessÌýAdministrationÌý(MBA)Ìýfrom the University of Central Oklahoma andÌýDivinityÌý(MDiv)Ìýfrom Oral Roberts University.ÌýDr.ÌýBarrick thenÌýearnedÌýhisÌýdoctoral degree inÌýMinistryÌý(DMin)ÌýfromÌýEvangel University.

BeforeÌýbecoming part ofÌýtheÌýMCCÌýfamily, Dr.ÌýBarrickÌýheld several administrativeÌýand facultyÌýpositions atÌýRose State College.ÌýInÌý2021,ÌýDr. Barrick joined the RSC team as the Executive Director of Communications, overseeing the Marketing and Public Relations department. He also served in the role of Executive Director of Government and Military Relations.ÌýAsÌýaÌýprofessor,ÌýheÌýhas taughtÌýboth in-personÌýand online courses in the business and humanities divisions.

Dr. Barrick serves on Michigan Works! Workforce Development Board. He is a member of the Greenville Rotary Club and the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition, he is a participant in the Leadership Montcalm Class XXV and Hello West Michigan Rapid Roots 2024 Cohort.

Ìý

Dr.ÌýBarrickÌýis supported by hisÌýwifeÌýand best friend,ÌýShayla. Together, they have helped raise 27 fosterÌýchildrenÌýin their home. Dr. Barrick is also an officer in the Army National Guard. In 2023, heÌýdeployed on a combat mission to the Horn of Africa as command chaplain of Taskforce Tomahawk and received the Meritorious Service Medal for hisÌýextraordinaryÌýleadership overseas.
