Learn about how Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ and the Michigan Reconnect program are working to help address a widening skills gap within the state’s workforce duringÌýa Michigan Reconnect event on July 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Donald C. Burns Administration/Library building on MCC’s Sidney Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½. The event is an opportunity for non-traditional students that are 25 years or older to apply to MCC and learn how the MichiganReconnect scholarship can help them pay for college.

Michigan Reconnect is for residents who are 25 years or older and have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent. Michigan Reconnect will help pay the costs of tuition or training for eligible adults who want to pursue an associate degree or skills certificate. Michigan Reconnect pays the remaining balance of tuition, at the community college’s in-district rate and mandatory fees after other state and federal financial aid have been applied.

Representatives from Student Services will be on hand to help people apply to MCC. Financial aid will help people fill out the FAFSA application. Counselors and advisers will also be available to answer any other questions people might have.

Tech support will available to help with login or any other tech issues. There will be three different times for tours around Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ to get you familiar with your surroundings.

Pizza and pop will be available. Find out more about some of MCC’s programs, including agriculture, career services, nursing, and industrial education.
