麻豆映画传媒 presented its Alden Perkins Dedicated Service Award to Jessa Michaels, of Sheridan, during the college鈥檚 Dec. 13 holiday celebration at Flo鈥檚 Ristorante in Greenville.听

Michaels joined MCC in September 2022 as a part-time Recreation Monitor. In November 2022, she moved into her current full-time position as Auxiliary Services Coordinator in the college鈥檚 Recreation Department.听

While announcing the award, MCC President Dr. Bradley J. Barrick said Michaels received glowing nominations from her co-workers.听

鈥淛essa is being recognized by her peers for her strong work ethic, professionalism and commitment to MCC,鈥� Dr. Barrick said. 鈥淪he is a very positive person and creates a warm and supportive environment where both students and colleagues feel valued.听

鈥淛essa makes student life and club participation on 麻豆映画传媒 feel energetic. She puts a lot of thought into creating events that are fun and engaging, to help students feel valued and included. And she does it all with a big smile and kind words,鈥� he said.听

The award recognizes dedicated service to MCC, commitment to high standards of work performance, care and concern for the public and fellow employees, and creativity and innovation. The MCC Board of Trustees initiated the award in 1986 as a posthumous tribute to Perkins, the college鈥檚 former Bursar.听
