MCC students earn honors at national business competition

Eight ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ students recently earned high honors during the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas.

More than 6,000 students competed at all levels from across the nation. All MCC students finished in the top 10 for their events.

Connor Clark, of Greenville, earned 10th place in Basic Office Systems & Procedures; Morgan Mason, of Belding, placed 5th in Fundamental Desktop Publishing, 5thΜύin Graphic Design Promotion and 6thΜύin Integrated Office Applications; Mary McQuarrie, of Ionia, earned 5thΜύplace in Promotional Photography; Kyleigh Mills, of Greenville, placed 8th in Interview Skills; Lindsey Olger, of Lakeview, placed 4thΜύin Graphic Design Promotion and 9thΜύin Interview Skills; Celena Rosset, of Edmore, earned 3rdΜύplace in Ethics & Professionalism, and 3rdΜύplace in Parliamentary Procedure Concepts; and Claire Scott, of Greenville, and Noelle Kyes, of Belding, placed 3rdΜύin Small Business Management Team.

BPA Advisors Bill Bishop, who is an MCC business instructor, and Kristen Diehl, MCC’s CIS lab coordinator, accompanied the students during the trip.

β€œIt was a wonderful experience for all of the competitors,” Bishop said. β€œThe students did a great job of representing MCC.”

Business Professionals of America is the leading Career Technical Student Organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields.
