Oct. 27 workshop aims to support rural business owners

βAccessing Capital and the Challenges of Owning a Rural Businessβ is Friday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on ΒιΆΉΣ³»΄«Γ½βs Greenville ΒιΆΉΣ³»΄«Γ½.
Business leaders or people interested in going into business on their own are invited to attend to learn about resources that are available to their business and how to access capital through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) programs.
The event will feature:
- Local partners that provide resources and counseling to rural business owners.
- A town hall style discussion with leaders of the SBA and USDA on the challenges of doing business in a rural market.
- Presentations from the Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) on training and counseling services, SBA and USDA on capital access programs.
- Meet the lenders to explore financial options, including lenders representing more than 10 local financial institutions.
